Health benefits of coconut and coconut oil
Coconut oil is high in natural saturated fats, which increase the healthy cholesterol (HDL) in our bodies. coconut oil also helps convert the LDL "bad" cholesterol into good cholesterol. by increasing the HDL's in the body, it helps promote heart health, and lower the risk of heart disease.
Coconut oil is made up of unique medium-chain fatty acids: caprylic acid, lauric acid, and capric acid. these fats are a great energy source because they only have to go through a 3-step process to be turned into fuel, as opposed to other fats that undergo a 26 step process.
